Children's Education Director: Marie Columna

Marie is originally from Long Island NY. She obtained a bachelors degree in psychology from Liberty University. Marie has several years experience working with children, especially serving those adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems in group homes as well as school settings. She is currently a case manager at Brain Injury services of Southwest Virginia, working with adults and children who are diagnosed with a brain injury, providing support and linking them to needed resources. She is also a licensed foster parent through the department of social services. Marie is a photographer, and owner of Mae June photography. She loves being involved in the community; she volunteers at Lynchburg humane society and Lynchburg grows, and is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Virginia.


Her most important role however is as "Mom" to her two children.
